Post new items: Step-by-Step guide

1.    Under the Login / Register tab, click on “Login”.

2.    Under the Hello (your name) tab, click on “Seller’s Dashboard”.

3.    Click on the “Products” tab.

4.    Click on “Add new Product”.

5.    Fill out the details.

a)    Title – Fill in the name of your item that you want to sell.

b)    Product Type – Leave this as “Simple”.

c)    Price – Enter in the price that you want to sell the item for.

d)    Discount Price – Enter in the price that you want to discount the item for (will be discounted immediately). If you want to discount starting a certain date and end the discount on a certain date, then click on “Schedule”.

e)    Discount Date – Enter a “from date” and a “to date” (this will be when the discount will be applied).

f)    Category – Click on the Category Box and choose the Category that you want to sell your product in, example “Toys and Games”. 

g)    Tags – Leave this section blank as we do not use this.

6.    Add a Picture – Click on “Upload a Product Cover Image”.

a)    Click on “Select Files” or drag and drop a Picture.

b)    If you have a few Pictures that you would like to add, click on “Load more”.

c)    Then pick the one you want for your Cover Image and click “Set Featured Image”.

d)    To add more Pictures to your Product Page click on the “+”.

e)    Then choose your Image and click “Add to Gallery”.

7.  Short Description and Description – Fill out only the “Description” section as described below. The “Short Description” is not used.

8.    Inventory – this is where you can add a SKU number, change the stock status, click on enable product stock management and click on allow only one to be bought in 1 order (most will not use these fields with the exception of leaving the stock status on “In Stock”).

9.    Shipping and Taxes – Make sure to check the box “This product requires shipping”

  • Enter in the weight, length, width, and height of the item.
  • Shipping Class – leave as “no shipping class”.
  • Tax status – change to “shipping only”. Tax Class – leave as “Standard”.

10.    Linked Products – this is where to add products that can upsells or similar sells.

11.    Attribute – Click on “Custom Attribute” to add Attributes for filter features (this helps customers find your product quicker, as it narrows down their filter).

a)    Click on “Add Attribute”.

b)    Select the value for the result, example is age range and 2 to 4 years old

  • You can add as many Attributes that makes sense, then when done click on “Save Attribute”

12.    Other Options – Leave Product Status on “Pending Review” and Visibility on “Visible”. Purchase note is where you can add a note from you to the customer and they will see this on their email confirmation. When done click on “Save Product”.

  • After a new product is submitted, it will be reviewed by the admin to make sure all is entered in correctly. This will leave the item in a “Pending review” status and will not be visible for customers to buy. Once approved (usually within 24 hours). It will be available for customers to buy. As well this can be modified at any time if you choose to change something on it, including the price (any changes will go through an admin review as well).
